All-island issues have been prominent in the media during the past weeks. There have been calls for an all-island gas market, road strategy and phone tariff and investigations into improved transport links which would see Aer Lingus planes based in Belfast, Ryanair reopening Shannon-Belfast route and a new train link between Donegal and Derry.
Also officials in Monaghan and Dundalk proposed a cross-border regional acute hospital to serve border counties.
