Thats a pity.

I am a Barrister in the Galway/Mayo region and while not knowing much about cross border issues I am willing to help out on a voluntary basis. Its good to see contact taking place between us.
I recommend better links between the West and the North. I know we all have more in common than we do with the Dubs!

A shame, especially given the difficulties with the application of the habitual residence condition to people who haved lived in the North or elsewhere in the Common Travel Area in the ROI and the risk of poverty homelessness facing people (including children) as a result. That also defies belief....

Access to cross-border information is vital. As commented, while a lot of this information can be on websites, often it takes the knowledge of the person experienced in cross-borders issues to impart that knowledge. Morgan McManus Solicitors have dealt with cross-border issues for many years. Their website - www.morganmcmanus.com - is extremely helpful and their resource website on accident and employment claims - www.accidentclaimslaw.com - deals with the law on both sides of the border. Most importantly, as well as having that information on their websites, they also have solicitors who have many years experience of giving legal advice on issues in both jurisdictions.
